Berliner Kurze
This breed originated in Germany, it was shown in the U.S. in 1874. It comes plain headed or crested. The breed is displayed in many colors. Barred birds are predominant.
The head is small and round, arched forward rounding to the back of the head. The eye is bright white, with the ceres and beak being of the same color. The beak is down, short, wide and is the same color as the feathers. While the neck is shaky, it is not too short. It's chest is broad and rounded. The wings are carried below the tail, giving the impression the bird is dragging them, with the tail carried above the wings. The legs are short, with hock feathers.

Budapest Shortface Tumbler
This breed originated in Hungary in the city of Budapest. It is a fairly recent breed, somewhere around the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Originally bred for high flying. Today it is primarily seen in the show hall. The colors of this breed are Black, Dunn, Red, Yellow, White, Ash, Red, Blue, Silver, Checker. White flighted and Heartback (Gansel) in the same colors.
The most prominent feature of this variety is it's head. The eyes are pearl, large with thick ceres almost frog-like. Black ceres in the black beak variety, flesh colored in the white beak variety. The back of the head is sharply marked upward in three corners. The beak, while being short, is straight set. The neck is long, and slightly arched, with the wing butts carried slightly outwards. This along with it's long legs give the bird the expression of a stork.

Classic Old Frill
The Classic Old Frill is an exhibition breed of pigeon from the Owl family. It is also known as the Old Fashioned Oriental Frill and the Old Style Oriental Frill. It is the precursor breed from which the modern Oriental Frill was created. It is a beautiful ancient pigeon breed, which can now be seen on exhibit at major American and Canadian shows. These birds are small to medium sized (average weight 11-12 oz) cobby pigeon, with a jaunty disposition. Typical characteristics include a breast frill, peak crest, grouse muffs, and a medium-short thick beak. Satinettes are shield marked/tail marked birds with white bars or laces on their shield and moon spots or laces on their tail. Blondinettes are whole colored birds which also posses white bars or lacing on the shields and moon spots or lacing on the tail. Some varieties have the lacing extended over most of the body. At Sugarbunnie we find these to be remarkably sweet and exceptional, gentle parents. They step in beautifully for our Berliner Kurze and Ancients.
Lahore
Originally created in ancient Persia, the Lahore was further developed and refined in Lahore, Pakistan. Imported into Germany around 1880, it wasn't until the 1960's that the breed began to gain popularity in the United States. The Lahore is known for its impressive size and gentle nature. Lahores measure approximately 10.5 inches tall and 11.5 inches long, 5.5 inches across the shoulders. It's striking markings are a white base, with a secondary color beginning at the juncture of the beak and wattle, spreading into an arc over the eyes and across the back and wings. The rump and tail are to be white. Feet and legs are heavily muffed. We have but one pair of Black Lahores at Sugarbunnie, and they are outstanding. Many thanks to Barry Wagner for entrusting us with this splendid pair of birds!
